Questions about this template

Should tax be included or added?

Match how you price. If the shelf price includes tax, tick 'prices include tax' so the receipt shows the breakdown without changing the total.

Can I use this as an invoice?

No. A receipt confirms payment; an invoice requests it. Use the invoice template if the customer still owes money.

What about returns?

State the policy on the receipt. It is the document customers keep, so it is the right place for the terms.

Do I need the customer's name?

Only if you need it for warranty or delivery. Many retail receipts are anonymous.
