Is the invoice generator free?
Yes. Creating an invoice, downloading the PDF, Word file or Excel workbook and printing it are free. No account is needed to generate a document.
What is the difference between an invoice and a quotation?
A quotation prices work before the client commits and carries a validity date. An invoice requests payment for work already agreed and carries a due date and an amount already paid.
Can I show a deposit that the client already paid?
Yes. Enter the amount received in the payment section. The invoice then shows the total, the paid amount and the balance due.
Can I turn my quotation into an invoice?
Yes. Generate the quotation, then choose convert to invoice on the result. The line items and totals carry over and the new invoice gets its own number and dates.
Which formats can I download?
PDF for sending, Word for editing, and Excel with live formulas for your own records. You can also print straight from the browser.
Does the client see my bank details?
Only if you add them. Payment instructions appear in their own section on the invoice, separate from the terms and notes.
