Questions about this template

What is the difference from a normal invoice?

A commercial invoice is used for customs valuation and clearance. It needs origin, tariff codes and delivery terms that a domestic invoice does not.

Which Incoterm should I use?

The one agreed in the sales contract. It determines who pays freight and insurance, and customs will read it that way.

Do I need HS codes?

In most jurisdictions, yes, at least at the heading level. The importer's broker can help confirm the exact code.

Can I use this for services?

No. Services do not clear customs; use the simple or consulting invoice instead.
